Wolcott Summer Studies Program

  • Who: Students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. High School volunteers welcomed too!
  • What: An enriching, and fun program aimed at preparing students for the grade level ahead!
  • When: June 26 - July 30 8:00am -12:10pm No WSSP on July 4th
  • Where: Tyrrell Middle School, 500 Todd Road, Wolcott
  • Cost: $125 per child for Wolcott residents

We have the capacity to give 60 students at each grade level a head start for the upcoming year! Students will be
placed into groups of approximately 20 students and rotate to three classrooms with each classroom focusing on
Reading/Writing, Math, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Music) as well as an Elective
Period.

The Elective Period - students will have the opportunity to choose from various interests that their teachers’ will
be instructing for their grade level. Elective Period choices will be made available weekly to the students (i.e.
crafting, book clubs, physical education sports, music, dancing, creative videos, legos, etc.)
 
Example of Schedule:
8:00-9:00am Period 1 - Reading/Writing
9:00-10:00am - STEAM
10:00-11:00am - Math
11:00-12:00pm - Enrichment Choice
 
Open registration will begin May 1, 2024. The information will be posted on the Wolcott Summer Studies
Program section of the Wolcott Public School website. Registration deadline is June 1, 2024
