The Wolcott Board of Education is accepting applications for the following position:

Tyrrell Middle School seeks to hire a School Social Worker to support students in grades 6–8 who present social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related challenges. This role will provide targeted, tiered support for students and families while also launching a hybrid middle school program modeled after the high school SHAPE program (Self Help and Personal Exploration).

Rate: Per Union Contract

Role Overview:
The School Social Worker will work collaboratively with administrators, counselors, teachers, special education staff, and families to improve student engagement, behavior, attendance, and overall well-being. The position will balance individual and family-based interventions with small-group, peer-based programming, aligned with the developmental needs of middle school students.
