On March 15th fifth grade student Logan Caruso had Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation in to educate the students and staff on the services they provide to the blind. This presentation was arranged by Logan after an independent study was done by him where he researched all about the various types of services dogs, a subject he is very interested in.Linda Gilley and guide dog Prairie held the interset of all students as they explained the duties a service dog performs on a daily basis for their handlers.  Logan with the help of teachers and student council held a penny wars between classes to raise funds necessary to have Fidelco come to Alcott. The penny wars was such a great success that Alcott was also able to make a sizeable donation to Roz the Wolcott Animal Control Officer and the Wolcott Dog Pound.
