On Wednesday November 25th Alcott school held its monthly town meeting. This month first and fourth grades focused on the character pillar of citizenship. They performed songs, displayed posters and read poems. They also discussed how they will be recycling bottles and donating the monies earned to the Wolcott Dog Pound. Also during the town meeting a representative from the American Cancer Society was on hand to collect our donation of $780.00 earned during our "pink out" day in October.
This month our community outreach was Superheroes Stopping Hunger. Students and Staff donated a dollar (or more) which allowed them to wear a superhero shirt to school. The money collected $550.00 was donated to the Wolcott Food Pantry, who had representatives on hand to collect our donation. Way to give back to our community, so proud of the Alcott Family.
